Product introduction

Short description
The IJW4000 is a compact UV inkjet system based on the Ricoh G4 industrial printhead. Each printhead provides a nominal print width of 32.4 mm at 300 dpi. The system can be configured with 1 to 24 printheads for narrow coding, stitched wider images, multiple print lanes, or other project-specific layouts.
Product overview
The IJW4000 is designed for manufacturers, printing companies, equipment suppliers, and integrators that need flexible UV variable-data printing in a compact format. It can print changing text, numbers, QR codes, DataMatrix codes, barcodes, serial numbers, batch information, logos, and graphics on validated materials.
The 32.4 mm single-head format is suitable for common coding areas and smaller variable images. When a wider image or several parallel printing positions are required, additional Ricoh G4 printheads can be integrated into the same platform. A project may use between 1 and 24 printheads, depending on the required width, product layout, line speed, ink configuration, and installation space.
UV-curable ink is cured immediately by a matched UV LED curing system. The final printer, ink, lamp, transport, and data configuration is selected after reviewing the customer’s material and production requirements.

- One-dimensional barcodes
- Serial numbers and unique identification codes
- Batch, lot, date, and production information
- Variable text and numbers
- Logos, symbols, and small graphics
- Database-driven and traceability data
Suitable applications
- Labels and coated labels
- Cards, tickets, vouchers, and tags
- Flexible packaging and suitable films
- Cartons, coated paper, and paperboard
- Pharmaceutical and medical packaging
- Electronics and industrial components
- Cosmetics and personal-care packaging
- Industrial products requiring variable identification
Materials
Typical projects may include coated paper, synthetic paper, suitable plastics, films, labels, cards, foils, and selected industrial surfaces. The exact UV ink and curing parameters must be confirmed through sample testing. Pre-treatment may be required for low-surface-energy or otherwise difficult materials.
Integration and automation
The IJW4000 can be integrated with conveyors, feeders, web-handling equipment, product sensors, encoders, UV LED curing units, databases, vision systems, and external production controls. Multi-head alignment, stitching, triggering, data assignment, and curing are engineered around the actual line.

Why choose the IJW4000
Choose the IJW4000 when the application needs a compact UV platform, a 32.4 mm single-head print area, and the option to expand from one printhead to a larger multi-head configuration. It is a practical starting point for variable-data projects that require UV curing without beginning with a larger single-head platform.
